Sony and 13 supply chain partners won two major awards. They earned the Red Dot Award 2026 and the GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2026 for their sustainable “Creating NEW from reNEWable materials” initiative.
The project aims for zero virgin fossil plastics. Therefore, it integrates bio-based renewable materials using a mass balance approach. These materials appear in major products like the WF-1000XM6 earbuds, BRAVIA 9 II television, and IER-M500 monitors.
As a result, Sony continues to champion eco-friendly manufacturing. The company also drives the widespread social implementation of sustainable technologies globally.
