He brings extensive experience in automotive retail operations, including Mercedes-Benz dealership management and new energy vehicle (NEV) business management in China. In his expanded role, Zhang will oversee the company’s broader business operations and strategic direction as OJMPI continues to develop its growing brand portfolio in the Philippines.

“Marc has played an important role in establishing and growing Omoda & Jaecoo in the Philippines and building the foundations for the brands’ continued expansion. We thank him for his leadership and look forward to his contributions in his expanded role as Executive Vice President of Omoda & Jaecoo Motor Philippines, Inc.,” said Mr. Chun Hu, the CEO of OJMPI.

New OJMPI Executive Appointee:
Rocky Xu as Country Director of Omoda & Jaecoo for the Philippines

As part of the same leadership transition, Rocky Xu has been appointed Country Director for Omoda & Jaecoo, assuming responsibility for the brands’ Philippine operations. Previously overseeing Omoda & Jaecoo’s dealer network development, Xu brings direct experience in expanding the brands’ retail presence and strengthening their market reach in the country.

“We are equally pleased to have Rocky take the lead as Country Director for the brand of  Omoda & Jaecoo. His familiarity with the Philippine market, our dealer partners and our business gives him a strong foundation from which to lead the brands forward. Together, these appointments strengthen our management team as we continue to expand our presence, product portfolio and customer support in the Philippines,” added Mr. Chun Hu, the CEO of OJMPI.

OJMPI operates the Omoda & Jaecoo brands in the Philippines and is also introducing the new brand iCAUR. The new energy vehicle brand is scheduled to officially launch in the country in November.

Building on OMODA & JAECOO’s Philippine growth

OJMPI has recorded several milestones in the Philippines across vehicle sales, product expansion, dealer network development and aftersales support since launching in 2025. In the first half of 2026, Omoda & Jaecoo ranked No. 3 among battery electric vehicle brands in the Philippines by sales volume, recording 1,484 BEV units based on CAMPI-TMA data.

In July, the company expanded its local portfolio with the launch of the JAECOO J5 EV, priced at ₱1.399 million. The all-electric SUV joined Omoda & Jaecoo’s growing lineup of hybrid and fully electric vehicles catering to different customer requirements.

Omoda & Jaecoo has also continued to expand its nationwide footprint. In September, the company signed its 50th dealer partnership for the brand Omoda&Jaecoo, and the 1st batch of iCAUR dealers marking another milestone in its efforts to broaden customer access to vehicle sales, maintenance, genuine parts and aftersales support across the country.

Complementing this network expansion is OJ Care, the company’s dedicated aftersales service brand, which provides Omoda and Jaecoo customers with a comprehensive seven-year or 200,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty, whichever comes first.

In September, the company further strengthened its customer support program with the introduction of 24/7 roadside assistance for eligible customers, providing additional support for vehicle breakdowns and other roadside concerns.

“Our priorities for Omoda & Jaecoo remain clear: to introduce products that are relevant to Filipino customers, strengthen our dealer and aftersales network, and deliver an ownership experience that earns the confidence of the market. We have built strong momentum since entering the Philippines, and I look forward to working with our team and partners as we take Omoda & Jaecoo into its next phase of growth in the country,” Xu said.

Preparing for iCAUR’s Philippine entry

OJMPI is also preparing for the official Philippine introduction of iCAUR, further expanding the company’s presence in the country’s new energy vehicle market.

iCAUR will enter the Philippines with two electrified SUVs: the V23, a retro-inspired battery electric SUV, and the V27, a larger SUV equipped with the brand’s Golden REEV range-extended electric vehicle technology.

Ahead of the brand’s official launch, OJMPI has begun establishing iCAUR’s local retail and aftersales network with an initial group of automotive dealer partners.

The V23 and V27 made their first publicized driving appearance in the country during an exclusive media test drive held on September 28 and 29 in Cavite. The activity gave Philippine automotive media their first opportunity to experience the two models ahead of their formal market introduction.

With Omoda & Jaecoo continuing its expansion and iCAUR preparing to enter the Philippine market, the new leadership structure provides OJMPI with greater management focus as it develops multiple automotive brands under its local organization.
