Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Welcomes EVIS Executive Order, Driving Electrification and Local Manufacturing with a ₱7-Billion Hybrid Vehicle Investment


Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) welcomed the issuance of the Electric Vehicle Incentive Strategy (EVIS) Executive Order, reaffirming its commitment to local hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) production. Supported by a ₱7-billion investment commitment from Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, MMPC aims to bolster the country’s manufacturing capabilities, strengthen the local supply chain, and accelerate vehicle electrification. MMPC Chairman Noriaki Hirakata highlighted that this initiative aligns with national sustainability goals while enhancing the Philippines’ competitiveness as an automotive manufacturing hub.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) welcomes the issuance of the Electric Vehicle Incentive Strategy (EVIS) Executive Order, which represents a significant step toward accelerating vehicle electrification, strengthening local automotive manufacturing, and supporting the continued growth of the Philippine automotive industry.

In line with this national direction, MMPC will participate in the program through Mitsubishi Motors Corporation’s PhP 7-billion investment to locally produce hybrid electric vehicles in the Philippines.
