Trident 800 is now available in the market. Testing it along Marilaque’s technical curves reveals a refined, torque-rich roadster. It balances the aggressive triple-cylinder power and agile geometry, making it a formidable contender in the Philippine neo-retro bike market.

5 Reasons the Trident 800 is a Strong Contender:

  • Triple-Throttle Performance: Unlike the 660’s single-body setup, the 800 uses three dedicated throttle bodies. Delivering a more punchy response during uphill, especially on overtakes.
  • Advanced Safety Suite: The inclusion of a 6-axis IMU (enabling Cornering ABS and Traction Control). It provides a level of electronic sophistication typically reserved for premium litre-bikes.
  • Segment-Leading Value: At ₱649,000, it cuts several rivals while including high-end features. The bidirectional quickshifter and cruise control, which come as standard equipment, are a head-turner.
  • Upgraded Adjustability: The transition to adjustable Showa SFF-BP forks addresses the limitations of its predecessor. This allows the riders to fine-tune the front-end feel for varied road conditions.
  • Ergonomic Versatility: Its approachable 810mm seat height and 198kg wet weight make it equally capable as a “gentleman’s hooligan” on the mountain and a manageable daily commuter in the city.
