Parañaque City, Metro Manila – 24 April 2025 – Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) held a formal ceremonial toast at the Golden Ballroom of Okada Manila. It marks the transition of its president, celebrating the legacy and a new chapter of IPC. The outgoing president, Mr. Tetsuya Fujita, assumed his position in January 2023. He left an indelible mark by stating that Isuzu was the number one truck in the Philippines. Continuing this legacy is the incoming president, Mr. Mikio Tsukui.

The celebration was well attended by IPC key executives, members of the media, and distinguished guests. The evening commenced with an icebreaker acknowledging a warm tone to everyone, followed by a formal introduction of IPC executives. Outgoing President Mr. Tetsuya Fujita, Incoming President Mr. Mikio Tsukui, Executive Vice President Mr. Yasuhiko Oyama, Vice President for Sales Mr. Toshihiko Fujima, Assistant Vice President for After Sales Mr. Hodaka Matsuda, and Division Head for Sales Mr. Robert Carlos graced the event.

Executive Vice President Mr. Yasuhiko Oyama emphasizes the event’s significance as a celebration of legacy, progress, and renewed commitment within IPC’s corporate leadership. He applauded Mr. Fujita’s tenure. He highlights the introduction of a “new business view” this year, signaling a more aggressive direction for IPC.

Outgoing President Mr. Tetsuya Fujita expressed his gratitude for his fulfilling and unforgettable time in the country. He added that he is confident in Mr. Tsukui’s leadership and his ability to further IPC’s mission and values, particularly within the light commercial vehicle strategy. Maintaining Isuzu as the number one commercial vehicle brand in the Philippines is inevitable.

A symbolic turnover ceremony presented by Mr. Fujita to Mr. Tsukui is a customized wooden tree made from recycled material, and an Isuzu D-Max model beside it. It symbolizes IPC’s growth, sustainability, and continuous progress. It also has an affinity for the outdoors, highlighting the brand’s reliable build and durability.

Incoming President Mr. Mikio Tsukui is excited to assume his new role. He is confident and committed to building the trust and reputation of Isuzu vehicles in the country, especially in the commercial segment. He outlined his position in a more innovative way and a progressive future. Focusing on the Isuzu D-Max and Isuzu Mu-X, it promises a network and customer touchpoints to offer a more refined and modern driving experience to loyal customers and potential new owners.
