Suzuki Philippines hosts an all-out adventure media ride in Tanay, testing the performance limits of the new DR160 and V-STROM 160.
PASIG CITY, Philippines – Suzuki Philippines Incorporated officially hosted the Suzuki Supercharged: Real Adventure Media Experience on June 2, 2026. The moto-media and KOLs drive served as an official staging point for the Suzuki Real Adventure Experience. This distinctive initiative highlights instances where major manufacturers invite automotive journalists and digital content creators to step directly to evaluate vehicular control, build quality, and real-world safety parameters simultaneously.

The grueling 95-kilometer itinerary kicked off at dawn from Pasig City, sending the convoy directly into the tight elevations and sweeping corners of the iconic Marilaque Highway. This paved stretch immediately put the on-road manners of both lightweight machines to the test. The asphalt-focused V-STROM 160 (SRP ₱146,000) utilized its stable upright riding position. Its dual-channel ABS carves smoothly through the mountain roads. The dual-sport oriented DR160 (SRP ₱129,000) demonstrated exceptional low-end torque delivery from its 162cc fuel-injected powerplant. The true core of the outdoor trial awaited the participants at Palaya Natural Farm in Sta. Ines, Tanay, Rizal.

Suzuki guided the media contingent off-road into a demanding gauntlet of technical hill trails and raw river crossings through the rocky waters of the Kaliwa River. Implementing a structured batch system and rider-swapping format, the event allowed journalists to fully experience the engineering divergence of both 160cc twins. The agile DR160 dominated the loose rock and water obstacles using its massive 244mm ground clearance and nimble 138kg curb mass, while the V-STROM 160 defied traditional category expectations by confidently scaling steep ruts.

The comprehensive media expedition concluded at the scenic Luma Lumi Guest House in Sampaloc. It reinforced a side-trip evaluation to the windy ridges of the Pililla Wind Farm.
