Test Ride Xperience – Malvar Launches Mayor Abu’s 100-Day Push for Safety and Moto-Tourism in the town of Malvar, Batangas

Malvar, Batangas – September 15, 2025 – The town of Malvar, Batangas, successfully inaugurated the two-day Test Ride Xperience. The event was held at the Malvar Sports and Recreational Park on September 13–14, 2025. It marks a significant achievement within Mayor Admiral Art M. Abu’s first 100 days in office, signaling his firm commitment to road safety and the growth of moto-tourism.

Leveraging on his extensive experience, the former Commandant of the Philippine Coast Guard, Mayor Abu has fast-tracked a disciplined approach to governance. Recognizing the need for enhanced safety, the Mayor kicked off his safety initiative with the motorcycle community. The high volume of daily traffic from the nearby LIMA industrial estate was focused on intensive safety on the road.

Day 1: A Unified Front for Safety

The Test Ride Xperience, a collaborative effort spearheaded by Lifestyle On Wheels, InsideMoto, and Motorclyde International Inc., was focused on intensive safety on the road, including safety talks, riding practices, and motorcycle plate redistribution.

Mayor Abu personally recognized the unified support of both motorcycle manufacturers and aftermarket partners, whose presence ensured a comprehensive safety environment. The event successfully pushed through despite external challenges, including inclement weather and unrelated rallies in Manila, demonstrating the Malvar LGU’s dedication.

Day 2: The Thrill of Heritage Moto-Tourism

The second day showcased Malvar’s cultural side with the inaugural Reso Heritage Tour Challenge, organized by Reso Philippines. This moto-tourism activity provided Malvar’s riding visitors with a guided tour of the town, which is famously the birthplace of General Miguel Malvar and home to the Nata de Coco Festival and historical sites like the San Juan Bautista Parish Church.

Riders navigated the route using the Reso communicator. Instructions delivered on-the-fly by teammates at different stations. This adds a challenging layer of teamwork to the historical exploration.

The true success of the Test Ride Xperience – Malvar won’t be counted on the two-day event alone, but in the coming days, months, and years. This major step-forward is measured by fewer accidents and increased safety awareness among local and transient riders, all while successfully spotlighting the town’s rich heritage and growing appeal as a moto-tourism hub.
