Access Plus Racing delivered one of its strongest performances of the 2025 season with a dominant display at the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC), securing a rare 1-2-3 finish. The result solidifies the team’s lead in the championship as the season enters its final stretch, with only two rounds remaining.
Qualifying took place under wet conditions, but the weather did little to slow down Timothy Joseph “TJ” Alberto on the #77 Ducati Panigale V4. The 4-time PSBK champion surprised even himself when he claimed pole position with a lap that was 0.789 secs faster than his closest rival, Marvin Mangulabnan. The session also saw his younger brother Troy Alberto qualify P3, putting both Access Plus Racing riders on the front row.
Race 1 brought a major twist in the championship. Title contender Mangulabnan missed the start due to a technical issue, handing TJ a golden opportunity to extend his points lead. The Alberto brothers capitalized by running in formation from lights to flag, with TJ controlling the race from the front and Troy safely in 2nd.
Further behind, another Access Plus Racing entry, Jan Timbol, worked his way into podium contention. After starting from P4, he fought his way up to 3rd place early on and held position until the chequered flag. It was a dream result for the team, securing a 1-2-3 finish in the Philippine Superbike Championship.

With confidence high, it was an all-Access Plus Racing front row for Race 2. The sun came out for the first time all weekend, heating up the track and the competition. Mangulabnan finally made it to the grid, starting from P5, and wasted no time getting into attack mode as soon as the lights went out.
Up front, TJ once again took the lead into Turn 1 with Troy in tow. Mangulabnan then tried relentlessly to get past the younger Alberto, but Troy defended well. Although Mangulabnan eventually found a way past after several laps, it gave TJ a chance to break away and build a comfortable gap. The defending champion maintained his composure and controlled the race until the end, finishing with a 2.821 secs lead to complete a perfect weekend.
Mangulabnan settled for 2nd, while Troy brought home another podium in 3rd to cap off a highly successful weekend for the team.
With two wins at BRC, TJ Alberto now holds a commanding 104-point lead in the championship. As double points are up for grabs in the remaining two rounds of 2025, he only needs two more race victories to clinch the title with one round to spare. Meanwhile, Troy Alberto’s consistent form has paid off as he now sits just 4 points behind Mangulabnan in the fight for 2nd overall.
The 2025 Philippine Superbike Championship resumes on October 4–5 at the Clark International Speedway for Round 6.

TJ Alberto, #77: “I’m on a high with how the weekend turned out, especially our 1-2-3 result in Race 1. With a 103-point lead, we’re in a great position. If things go our way in the next round, we might even seal the championship early. It’s looking pretty good. We still have to finish the job, but the pressure is starting to ease off and I’m really happy with our results this season. We’re starting to see the fruits of our labor, and I’m looking forward to finishing the last two rounds at CIS.”
Troy Alberto, #69: “I’ve gone from being 36 points behind Marvin to now just 4 points back, so 2nd in the championship is definitely within reach. After some bad luck earlier in the year, it finally feels like things are coming around. I also felt much better this round compared to any of the previous races at BRC. I’m now a lot closer to TJ and Marvin, so I’m feeling optimistic about closing the gap even more in the last two rounds.”
Toti Alberto, Team Principal: “Honestly, we were bracing for another tough weekend fighting for championship points, but I can’t complain with how things turned out. It was a proud moment to see TJ, Troy, and Jan share the podium for an all-Access Plus Racing, all-Ducati 1-2-3. While some pressure is off with TJ’s strong lead and Troy now just 4 points behind Marvin, the season is far from over. The team will be working extra hard to give both riders the best possible shot at the 2025 championship.”
