Caltex Powers Up CALAX with New Sustainable Station, Offering Motorists a Comprehensive and Convenient Travel Hub


Caltex is building its first fuel service station on the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), set to open in March 2026. The new site aims to be a one-stop hub for motorists, offering not only fuel but also dining options, convenience stores, and vehicle maintenance services. This development is part of Caltex’s expansion to meet the growing traffic demand on CALAX and will feature sustainable elements like solar power, rainwater harvesting, and EV charging ports. The project, a partnership with the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, highlights a commitment to enhancing travel and supporting local economic growth.

Manila, Philippines, September 1, 2025 — Caltex, marketed by Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), has broken ground for its first fuel service station along the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), which is set to open in March 2026. The site is designed to serve motorists with a range of essential amenities, including well-known dining establishments, vehicle maintenance services, and a convenience store. Once operational, the station will offer a one-stop location for travelers along CALAX, supporting both routine stops and longer journeys between Cavite, Laguna, Batangas and Metro Manila.

Strategically located just three kilometers from the CALAX toll plaza and adjacent to a growing residential community, the station will conveniently serve motorists from nearby major expressways, offering easy access to destinations in the southern region. Currently, CALAX sees an average daily traffic volume of around 45,000 vehicles, which is projected to double to 90,000 as the remaining sections are completed. Thus, this development is part of Caltex’s nationwide expansion plan to make its trusted quality fuels closer to more communities and everyday journeys.

Driving Sustainability and Convenience

The Caltex CALAX station will showcase Caltex’s sustainable station concept, integrating a range of eco-friendly features designed to support both traditional and new energy vehicles. Aside from solar power and rainwater collecting systems, the station will also have EV charging ports, further emphasizing Caltex’s commitment to sustainability.

The new CALAX site will offer motorists the brand’s wide range of clean, quality products: Caltex Platinum with Techron, Caltex Silver with Techron, Caltex Diesel with Techron D, and Caltex Power Diesel with Techron D.

Motorists can also expect the full service experience at the CALAX site – from expert vehicle care to convenient on the go amenities. The station will have a Caltex autoPro workshop where skilled mechanics can perform a comprehensive 22-point vehicle maintenance check, along with oil change services using genuine, high-quality Caltex Havoline and Delo lubricants. All services will be carried out in modern, well-equipped facilities, ensuring customers enjoy both convenience and peace of mind.

The construction of the CALAX site was made possible after the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD), led by its chairman of the Board and CEO, Dr/ Brig. Gen. Antonio L. Tamayo, commissioned a team composed of UPHSD President, Dr. Anthony M. Tamayo, Perpetual Help Medical Center President Lt. Col. Richard Antonio L. Tamayo, and Property Manager Mr. Arnold Jose P. Tamayo, to lease out the two- hectare property to Caltex.  

Perpetual Help Medical Center Las Pinas President Lt. Col. Richard Antonio Tamayo said, “We are proud to support Caltex’s broader mission of making quality fuel products more accessible to Filipinos across the country. This project not only enhances mobility and convenience for motorists but also paves the way for increased economic activity in the area. We are especially excited about the potential for growth, as several businesses are set to establish physical stores within the site—creating new jobs and driving local development.”
