MANILA, PHILIPPINES | 16 May 2025 – VinFast Philippines ignited excitement yesterday, after hosting its inaugural media drive event for the VinFast VF 6, a stylish and capable subcompact crossover SUV. Members of the Philippine motoring media and avid automotive enthusiasts embarked on a dynamic journey from the bustling heart of Metro Manila to the scenic locales of Tagaytay and Silang.
Under the expert guidance of renowned Philippine motorsports icon and lead instructor Milo Rivera, participants were immersed in the VF 6’s agile performance across diverse urban driving environments. The route encompassed major thoroughfares such as the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and the picturesque Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), winding through Nuvali in Laguna, providing a comprehensive real-world driving experience. Participants also got to drive other VinFast models, namely the VF 5, VF 7 and VF 9.

The VinFast VF 6 subcompact crossover SUV made its official Philippine debut at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) and is available in two distinct trims – Eco (priced at PHP 1,419,000) and Plus (PHP 1,610,000).
The VF 6 delivers impressive power, particularly in its Plus variant, boasting 150 kW and a robust torque of up to 310 Nm. This translates to confident highway merging and effortless overtaking on provincial roads.
The Plus trim of the VF 6 features an impressive array of 20 advanced driver-assistance systems, including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, proving invaluable for navigating the often-congested roads of Metro Manila. The EV-centric design maximizes interior space, comfortably accommodating up to five adults despite its compact exterior dimensions, thanks to a generous 2,730 mm wheelbase. The finely tuned suspension ensures a comfortable ride, even on uneven road surfaces. A prominent 12.9-inch touchscreen seamlessly integrates smartphone connectivity and offers convenient remote vehicle monitoring and climate pre-conditioning, which are highly desirable features given the Philippines’ tropical climate.
Addressing range considerations, the VF 6 offers a remarkable 480 km of range on a single charge, facilitating longer journeys such as trips from Manila to Baguio. The rapidly expanding charging infrastructure, spearheaded by VinFast’s partner V-GREEN with a target of 15,000 ports nationwide by the end of 2025, further alleviates any range concerns. Notably, the VF 6 presents a compelling value proposition compared to traditional gasoline SUVs, primarily due to significantly lower maintenance costs. The elimination of oil changes and the lower cost of electricity translate to substantial long- term savings for owners.
