Yamaha Motor Philippines spotlights the Motorcycle Technician Skills, reigniting the spirit of technical excellence after Seven-Year Hiatus.

Metro Manila, Philippines – 05 May 2025 – Yamaha Motor Philippines (YMPH) is set to reignite the spirit of excellence with the highly anticipated return of the Yamaha National Technician Grand Prix (NTGP). The event will celebrate exceptional abilities on May 17, 2025, at the Festival Mall Alabang, East Hall. After a seven-year hitaus, the NGTP will once again sore high underscoring the top Yamaha motorcycle mechanics. This is the unwavering commitment to service quality and professional growth of technical workforce between Yamaha and the motorcycling industry.

The NTGP serves as the culmination of Yamaha’s rigorous technician training program, Yamaha Technical Academy (YTA). This is a globally recognized program that ensures standards technical expertise and exceptional performance skill enhancement challenge amongst Yamaha technician. The Skills challenge initially will conduct pre-qualifying test at each dealership. This was followed by the Regional Technician Grand Prix. Participants will face comprehensive written examination and assessments on technical knowledge, product familiarity, and serving proficiency.

Top Ten participants will advance from the initial pool of 345. These finalist will represent Yamaha dealerships across the Philippines.

The finalist, will undergo customer handling test and will simulate real-world after-service interactions, evaluating communication and customer service skills. They will diagnose the same model of motorcycle and will expose to time pressure to further comprehend the evaluation. The Victor of the NTGP will have an opportunity to represent YMPH at the Yamaha World Technician Grand Prix in Japan.
