BGC, TAGUIG — Nissan Philippines just took another big step into the electric space, pulling the curtain back on two brand-new electrified models: the All-New Nissan Primera executive EV and the All-New Nissan Navara Pro Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV).
Hosted by Princess Legaspi at Bonifacio High Street, the event wasn’t just a Manila affair. Nissan broadcast the reveal live to twin venues in Cebu and Davao, marking one of the brand’s biggest coordinated launches in recent memory.
Expanding Beyond e-POWER
Following up on the recent releases of the X-Trail e-POWER and Kicks e-POWER, Nissan Philippines President Yoshinori Kanazawa made it clear that the goal isn’t just selling electric cars—it’s giving drivers options that match how they actually live.
“Electrification is about more than introducing new technologies,” Kanazawa explained. “It is about making everyday journeys easier, more enjoyable, and more meaningful for Filipino customers.”

Martin Bacard, Nissan’s Platform Program Director for SUVs, Pickups, and Vans, broke down the global effort behind the Navara Pro PHEV. Designed to meet global durability standards, the truck keeps its traditional ladder-frame toughness while adding smooth hybrid power.
Both models also debut MyNissan CONNECT, bringing 34 remote features to your phone:
- Lock, unlock, start, and turn on the aircon remotely
- Check battery levels and charging progress in real time
- Over-the-air (OTA) software updates and multi-user access

New Ambassadors & A Heritage Twist
Actors Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid joined the stage as Nissan Philippines’ newest brand ambassadors fresh off a morning test drive. Umali praised the Primera’s quiet cabin and massage seats, while Madrid pointed out the Navara’s road presence, 4×4 pull, and automatic bed cover.
To wrap things up, Nissan surprised the crowd with a one-off retro-inspired Navara Pro PHEV, mashing up 80s truck styling with today’s plug-in tech.
