Tri-Motors introduces the metal-body Chetak scooter to Visayas riders during its regional debut at the Makina Moto Expo in Cebu.

Cebu City, Philippines – When people hear the words “scooter,” they usually think of thin plastic parts, tiny wheels, and light frames that shake every time they hit a pothole. Tri-Motors Technology Corporation just brought something better to Cebu.

At the Makina Moto Expo at the IEC Convention Center, the team showed off the new Chetak e-scooter. The thing that really caught everyone was the steel body on the Chetak e-scooter.
If you know the name Chetak, you probably know the history. The first model came out in 1972. Became a legend on the roads in Asia because it was hard to break. This new Chetak e-scooter keeps that tough metal build, but it swaps the old gas engine for a new electric motor.
During the event, local riders finally saw what the Chetak e-scooter can actually do on the road:
- 130 km Range: That’s enough power to get you around Cebu City, run errands all day, and get home without worrying about the battery.
- 70 km/h Top Speed: This speed is fast enough to keep up with traffic without any trouble.
- 3.5-Hour Quick Charge: You can plug in the Chetak e-scooter. Go from empty to 80% in about the time it takes to eat lunch or finish a quick meeting.
Instead of just leaving the bikes on display, Tri-Motors set up a place to test drive the bikes right outside the venue. Riders could jump on the Chetak e-scooter, twist the throttle, and feel how heavy and solid the metal feels when the electric motor pulls you forward.

Riders who tested during the test ride had some expectations and features to unlock, as tabulated below:
| Feature Category | Specific Tech & Functionality | Description / User Benefit |
| Riding Modes | Eco Mode | Throttle output is capped to optimize energy consumption, reaching the maximum 130 km range. |
| Sports Mode | Unlocks full power output for sharper acceleration and a top speed of 70 km/h. | |
| Reverse Mode | Low-speed reverse assist to help back out of tight parking spaces easily. | |
