MANILA, Philippines — Geely Motor Philippines has opened pre-selling for the Geely EX5 EM-i, a plug-in hybrid SUV, as motorists weigh running costs amid fuel-price swings. Pricing is set at ₱1,288,000 for the EX5 EM-i Pro and ₱1,468,000 for the EX5 EM-i Max, with the Pro as the entry variant and the Max positioned as the higher-spec trim.
The EX5 EM-i pairs electric drive with a gasoline engine, allowing drivers to rely on electrified driving for daily city use while keeping fuel-based flexibility for longer trips. For drivers who can charge regularly and mostly do city routes, a plug-in hybrid can shift a portion of weekly driving from gasoline to electricity. Geely lists the system with hybrid fuel consumption of 2.4 L/100 km (WLTP Fuel Consumption-Weighted, Combined), equivalent up to 41.6km/L, total range exceeding 1,000 km on a full tank and charge, and charging support that can take the battery from 30% to 80% in as little as 20 minutes under stated conditions.
Reservations are now open ahead of the model’s official launch, with early customers eligible for priority allocation. Reservations and ownership support will be handled through Geely’s authorized dealership network nationwide. After-sales servicing and parts support for the EX5 EM-i will be managed through the same authorized network. Mall display activations are also scheduled across Metro Manila to allow consumers to see the EX5 EM-i up close.
Four limited-time offers are running on separate schedules and can be stacked. Reserve & Save runs from March 1 to 27, 2026, where a ₱1,000 reservation comes with a ₱10,000 discount. Born Super Hybrid runs from March 1 to May 31, 2026, offering ₱50,000 off on EX5 EM-i variants. Refer & Earn runs from March 3 to May 31, 2026, where both the referrer and the referred buyer receive ₱4,000 in periodic maintenance service (PMS) vouchers per successful referral. The EX5 EM-i Nubia Raffle runs from March 5 to April 30, 2026, giving customers who purchase the vehicle a chance to win one of 20 ZTE Nubia Neo 5 smartphones.
