The association recently inducted its 2026 officers, rallying the industry under the banner: “Moving Forward Beyond the Current Challenges, Sustaining Industry Leadership.” The new term focuses on resilience and innovation within the Philippine motorcycle sector.

The ceremony was headlined by Honorable Ramon G. Reyes, DOTr Undersecretary for Road Transport and Non-Infrastructure, who served as the keynote speaker. Highlighting the government’s support for the sector, Undersecretary Reyes presided over the induction of the 2026 executive board: Mr. Erwin D. Estrada (Honda Phils., Inc.) as President; Mr. Romeo B. Tan (Yamaha Motors Philippines Inc.) as Vice President; Mr. Norminio C. Previous President Mr. Alexander A. Cumpas reflected on the association’s milestones during the 2024–2025 term, attributing these successes to the collective synergy of the member-manufacturers. He noted that these achievements serve as a definitive blueprint for the future—a foundation designed to ignite further action and align perfectly with this year’s vision of sustained industry leadership.

While on the welcome speech of Mr. Mojica, 2026 MDPPA Treasurer, he noted that, “Today’s induction ceremony is anchored to its theme with a strong statement to our collective resolve. From the great year in 2025 wherein we have set another history of achieving unprecedented sales targets, we look forward to another promising chapter in the motorcycle industry.”

Incoming President Mr. Estrada outlined the association’s 2026 strategic roadmap, prioritizing proactive engagement in international policy-making and rule-setting to bring the joy of mobility and comfort to the Filipino riders. His tenure will focus on intensifying road safety initiatives, expanding membership and boosting the MDPPA’s public profile. “With the continued support of our members, the partnership and collaboration with government agencies and the trust of the public, I am confident that we can elevate our industry and contribute meaningfully to national progress, bringing the joy of mobility and comfort to every Filipino Family.”
Mr. Estrada further expanded the association’s mandate by introducing a focus on active collaboration with both local and international automotive associations. A highlight of this global outreach includes the MDPPA hosting the prestigious FAMI Conference first quarter of this year.
