Alaminos, Pangasinan – June 26, 2025 – Demonstrating its enduring commitment to environmental sustainability and nation-building, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) donated ₱300,000 to the City Government of Alaminos – Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) to fund critical mangrove rehabilitation initiatives. This builds on IPC’s nearly two-decade partnership with Alaminos, where it first adopted a coastal area back in 2005 as part of its pledge to strengthen climate resilience.

This financial contribution will directly aid mangrove planting programs led by CENRO, as these vital ecosystems help protect shorelines from erosion, enhance biodiversity, and capture carbon emissions—positioning them as a natural solution to the climate crisis.

“At IPC, we believe our role extends beyond providing reliable products that sustain this nation’s institutions and businesses,” said IPC Executive Vice President Yasuhiko Oyama. “Restoring ecosystems like mangroves is just one of the ways we give back to the very communities that support us. It’s a reflection of our long-standing commitment to help the country grow—not just economically, but sustainably and equitably.”

Alongside its environmental contribution, IPC also extended its support to Longos Elementary School, a public school serving underprivileged students from coastal communities in Alaminos. The school was selected as a beneficiary as it is located in one of the most economically disadvantaged and geographically isolated communities in the area.

The company donated school supplies to 140 students, including backpacks, notebooks, and other essential learning tools. In addition, IPC provided two printers with ink refills to help the school produce educational and administrative materials. This initiative aims to ease the financial burden on families and improve access to education in time for the new school year.

“We are deeply grateful to Isuzu Philippines Corporation for being a part of our city’s story since 2005. Their latest initiative assures us that meaningful public-private partnerships can drive long-term progress,” said Alaminos City Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste. “Their donations will go a long way in restoring our mangroves and empowering our students.”

Through these efforts, Isuzu Philippines reinforces its commitment to mitigating the climate crisis and empowering communities. By aiding in mangrove restoration and boosting student literacy, IPC upholds its slogan, Your Responsible Partner.
