Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI) has donated 140 generator sets to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), strengthening emergency response capabilities. The final batch of 70 units was recently handed over, fulfilling HPI’s commitment to provide reliable power during disasters. These generators will ensure PRC chapters can continue critical life-saving operations, power medical equipment, and maintain essential communication during calamities, reflecting HPI’s dedication to community welfare and life-saving programs.

Honda Donates Life-Saving Generators to Power Communities

Mandaluyong City, 14 th August 2025 – Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), the Country’s No. 1 Motorcycle Manufacturer and Power Products. HPI is committed to being One with the Community through its advocacies for Clean & Green Surroundings, Supporting Quality Education, Improving Quality of Life in the Community and Protecting Human Lives through Road Safety. In its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, generously donated a total of 140 units of 6.5KVA Generator Sets to the Philippine Red Cross (PRC). First batch of 70 units was turned over to Philippine Red Cross last September 17, 2024. And to complete their commitment, HPI has now handed over another 70 units of Generator Sets.
PRC has been a trusted partner of HPI in reaching out and helping communities for decades, notably during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and Super Typhoon Odette in 2021.
HPI aims to support life-saving programs, especially during calamities and disasters, by donating generator sets to the PRC. These generators shall enhance emergency response by providing reliable power to PRC chapters, ensuring timely assistance and powering essential medical equipment. They also support continuous communication during disasters, crucial for coordinating relief efforts and ensuring community safety.
Additionally, they help PRC operate efficiently during power outages caused by natural disasters like typhoons and the current La Niña situation.

Present at this momentous event were HPI officers headed by its President, Takeshi Kobayashi; Asst. Vice President for Business Administration, Mr. Gerry Datario; along with other officers and Honda personnel. PRC Chairman Mr. Richard Gordon was joined by Sec. General Ms. Gwendolyn Pang and the PRC team.
