Quezon City, Philippines, February 3, 2026 — Global ride-hailing platform inDrive and the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) have formalized a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening road safety education and anti-carnapping efforts for transport network vehicle service (TNVS) drivers and passengers nationwide.

The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) took place on January 30, marking a shared commitment to promoting safer roads and strengthening public confidence in app-based transport services. Under the agreement, inDrive and PNP-HPG will jointly implement a road safety and anti-carnapping campaign featuring a series of educational seminars and information drives tailored specifically for the TNVS sector.

This partnership reflects our shared belief that safety is a collective responsibility,” said Sofia Guinto, Country Representative of inDrive Philippines. “By working closely with the PNP-HPG, we aim to equip our partner drivers and passengers with practical knowledge that supports safer journeys and reinforces trust in everyday mobility.

A Shared Commitment to Safer Roads and Public Awareness

For inDrive, the collaboration reinforces its advocacy for a safer, people-first mobility ecosystem by working closely with law enforcement to provide its partner drivers and passengers with reliable guidance on road safety and crime prevention. Meanwhile, for PNP-HPG, the initiative offers an additional channel to expand public awareness of road safety and anti-carnapping measures, particularly within the growing TNVS sector.

Central to the collaboration is the conduct of road safety and anti-carnapping seminars for both inDrive partner drivers and passengers. The sessions will start in Metro Manila expanding to other cities nationwide, and will focus on practical tips, preventive measures, and situational awareness, equipping participants with knowledge that can help minimize risks on the road and respond appropriately to potential safety incidents.

PNP-HPG will deploy experts and resource persons to lead the seminars with inDrive along with approved training modules and learning materials. This ensures that all training content aligns with national road safety policies and the agency’s operational mandate.

By engaging directly with drivers and passengers, the agency can help promote compliance with traffic laws and foster stronger cooperation between law enforcement and private sector mobility providers.

Partnering with inDrive allows us to strengthen our road safety and anti-carnapping advocacy within the TNVS sector,” said PBGEN Hansel M. Marantan, Director of the PNP-HPG. “By sharing practical guidance through these seminars, we can help drivers and passengers recognize threats early and respond appropriately.

Through this partnership, inDrive and PNP-HPG aim to establish a sustained and collaborative approach to road safety bringing together technology, education, and law enforcement expertise. As details of the seminars and regional rollout are finalized, both organizations plan to engage closely with local stakeholders to ensure the program remains accessible, relevant, and impactful for both TNVS drivers and commuters alike.
