Honda at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach

NTT IndyCar Series

This weekend, the streets of Southern California are buzzing with excitement as the NTT INDYCAR SERIES returns for the 49th running of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. It’s a big deal for race fans and an even bigger one for Acura, marking their fifth year as the title sponsor. This isn’t just any race; it’s North America’s most storied street circuit event, where the smell of burnt rubber is as iconic as the ocean breeze.

#28: Marcus Ericsson, Andretti Global Honda

Earlier in January, Honda Performance Development got a makeover and is now known as Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US). It’s a fresh start that reflects their beefed-up role in Honda’s global racing game. And let’s just say, they’ve been owning the Long Beach track. Honda drivers have crossed the finish line first an impressive 16 times in 23 races, including a nine-win hot streak in the last 14 races. Talk about a winning tradition!

But the fun doesn’t stop with INDYCAR. Acura’s also throwing their hat in the ring at today’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race. Wayne Taylor Racing is gunning for glory with their electrified Acura ARX-06 prototypes in the GTP division, while Gradient Racing is all set to show off the Acura NSX GT3 Evo22 in the GTD class. It’s a full-throttle weekend where speed meets innovation, and the stakes are as high as the RPMs.
