Kia Philippines and AC Mobility officially launch the 2027 Sportage Turbo Hybrid, blending dynamic electrified power with long-range practical driving.
MANILA, Philippines – Kia Philippines officially reintroduced a flagship global icon to local roads with the Philippine debut of the 2027 Kia Sportage Turbo Hybrid. In strategic partnership with AC Mobility, this marks over three decades of automotive heritage across five distinct generations. The updated crossover offers Filipino motorists a seamless, practical bridge toward sustainable mobility. Without compromising dynamic performance, this new hybrid vehicle promises driving excitement or everyday utility.
At the launch event, AC Mobility Chief Executive Officer Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala highlighted the vehicle’s pivotal role in accelerating the nation’s transition toward electrified transportation. AC Mobility is steadily expanding nationwide with an EV charging spine. Currently, it features over 200 operational charging locations across the Philippines. The Sportage Turbo Hybrid strengthens Kia’s versatile local lineup that spans internal combustion engines, full hybrids, and battery-electric models.
Under the sculpted hood, the fifth-generation Sportage packs a responsive 1.6-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain. It delivers a commanding 235 horsepower and 367 Nm of torque. This is designed for both daily urban commutes and long-distance weekend road trips. Its electrified crossover features an impressive driving range of up to 1,040 kilometers on a single tank.
Kia Asia-Pacific President &Chief Executive Officer Kevin Ahn and Kia Philippines Managing Director Jay Lopez highlighted several practical features. The return of the Kia Sportage is engineered directly from customer feedback. The tech-forward cabin boasts dual 12.3-inch panoramic displays. It also has an immersive Harman Kardon sound system and the comprehensive Kia Drive Wise active safety suite. For added convenience, the vehicle incorporates a proximity-sensing hands-free power tailgate. An integrated 12V battery reset button eliminates traditional jumper cables and a standard physical spare tire.
Starting at ₱1,978,000 for the EX variant, the limited introductory price is ₱1,898,000. The flagship SX is available at ₱2,098,000, now available for modern Filipino drivers.
