MANILA, Philippines | October 20, 2026 — For Filipino motorists, one vehicle often serves several roles: a daily companion through city traffic, transport for a growing household and an escape for weekends outside the metro. The XPENG L03 Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV) brings pure electric performance to that mix, paired with the freedom to undertake long-distance journeys without range anxiety or total reliance on charging infrastructure.

The REEV version of XPENG’s Next-Generation AI SUV Coupé pairs a substantial battery with an onboard gasoline generator. It gives owners the opportunity to make routine trips on battery power while retaining the option to refuel when traveling beyond convenient charging locations.

The XPENG L03 REEV operates as a series plug-in hybrid. Its rear-mounted electric motor drives the wheels with 234 HP and 280 Nm of torque, while its 1.5-liter gasoline engine functions strictly as an onboard generator that delivers supplemental power on demand rather than mechanically propelling the vehicle. The result is an uninterrupted, purely electric driving experience, whether navigating daily EDSA traffic, merging onto the expressway, or embarking on long-distance road trips.

Equipped with a substantial 37.2 kWh battery, the XPENG L03 REEV delivers 215 km of pure-electric range (WLTP) before the onboard generator needs to engage. This allows owners to enjoy a genuine, zero-emission EV experience for daily routines, from office commutes and school runs within Metro Manila to trips across neighboring provinces, while reserving the gasoline generator strictly for longer road trips.

For longer drives, the range extender supports a combined WLTP range of up to 1,017 km with a fully charged battery and fuel available. That flexibility is particularly relevant when a weekend itinerary takes drivers beyond their usual routes or into areas with fewer charging facilities.

Performance remains central to the proposition. The L03 REEV accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in a claimed 6.8 seconds, combining responsive power delivery with rear-wheel drive. When a compatible DC fast charger is available, the battery can replenish from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes under optimal conditions.

Its appeal extends beyond the powertrain. A flowing fastback profile and frameless doors give the L03 REEV a distinctive road presence, while the five-seat interior accommodates the changing demands of work, family and recreation. Ventilated, electrically adjustable front seats add comfort during warm-weather travel, and reclining rear seatbacks give passengers more scope to settle in on longer drives.

A 539-liter rear luggage compartment provides room for work bags, groceries, a stroller or weekend gear. Split-folding rear seats allow the cabin to adapt when carrying larger items, making the SUV coupé practical for owners whose schedules extend beyond the office-to-home routine.

The cockpit centers on a 15.6-inch touchscreen that integrates navigation, entertainment and vehicle settings. A 26.8-inch head-up display places key driving information within the driver’s line of sight, complemented by smartphone connectivity, voice controls and over-the-air software updates.

For daily traffic and parking, XPILOT ASSIST includes adaptive cruise control, lane centering, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection and rear cross-traffic alert. Automated Parking Assist, Remote Parking Assist and a 360-degree camera system provide additional support in tight parking areas, with the driver remaining responsible for vehicle control.

The XPENG L03 REEV is priced at ₱1,598,000, with an ownership package that includes a 3.5 kW portable charger, two years of free preventive maintenance services and five years of free roadside assistance. Coverage also includes a five-year vehicle warranty and an eight-year warranty for the battery and electric motor.
